Galway County & City Enterprise Board 

The Galway County & City Enterprise Board is the agency involved in providing advice, mentoring, training and financial assistance to start up and existing small businesses in County Galway. This organisation provides grant aid, mentoring and training supports for small business. Enterprise Ireland is the government agency responsible for the development and promotion of the Irish owned business sector. Their mission is to accelerate the development of world class Irish companies to achieve strong positions in global markets resulting in increased national and regional prosperity.

They are also interested in meeting and working with entrepreneurs who wish to introduce an innovative product or service with growth potential from Ireland into international markets. Údarás na Gaeltachta

Údarás encourages investment in the Gaeltacht through a range of generous incentives for new enterprises and through support and assistance for existing businesses. The organisation supports businesses in developing new markets, technologies, products and strategic alliances through research and development. Gaeltacht companies span a range of commercial sectors, including tourism, fish processing and aquaculture, renewable energy, food, life sciences, ICT, niche manufacturing, audio visual and digital media, arts and crafts.

National Rural Development Companies

The National Rural Development Programme supports projects that provide alternative and suitable employment opportunities for people living in rural areas and a range of services that people now want and expect locally.  In the Programme, actions centred on the wider rural community such as the development of rural enterprises based on local natural resources, tourism, village enhancement and environmental initiatives will be delivered in a manner that addresses these challenges and complements on-farm measures. There are 4 National Rural Development Companies in County Galway serving different areas as outlined below.
