“It’s such a pleasure to be renewing my post as Dancer in Residence in the city that I love, and to be able to share my passion for dance with you all.  My heartfelt thanks goes to our City and County Arts Officers for believing in and backing the initiative to promote dance in our community. Dance is a vital part of all communities, as it is a form of communication and social interaction that can be playful, self-expressive and inclusive, as well as an effective cultural reflection of our times.  As illustrated below, the workshops include a variety of teachers and dance styles in order to reach as many people as possible. The second part of the residency is to be available to the public regarding dance in Galway city and county as well as to work in an educational and informative capacity.  The third and final part of the residency is dedicated to developing new choreographic work and will culminate in an evening length performance with my company.  I hope this residency sparks your desire to dance and we look forward to seeing you at one of the workshops.”
