Backstage Performing Arts Academy

Backstage Performing Arts Academy- provide performance Art training for 8-18 year olds

Backstage students come together for three hours each week and during that time they participate in three different workshops, ranging from Drama to Comedy. They are grouped by age and experience and the workshops are led by a team of experienced, qualified staff who are highly regarded in the business. Backstage is not a franchise, and the team of staff remains constant so that students build up a rapport with them throughout the year. Backstage has been operating for the past ten years and has built up a reputation for the excellence of it's work with young people.

Fees are €15 per weekly three hour session (€10 per weekly 2 hour session - Outreach Programme). Fees are paid on a weekly basis only. There is also a €50 registration fee on being offered a place.

We do not hold auditions for places, as we see our role as working with students who are interested in the work rather than selecting 'the best'. We work with our students to help them reach their potential. Places are filled on a first come, first served basis.

Those interested in joining Backstage are first invited to an 'Open Day', where they get the opportunity to experience first hand what we have to offer. Thereafter, if they wish, they may apply for a place. Open Day visits are free of charge, but are by appointment only. To arrange an Open Day visit, please call or email us.

If you would like to find out about a Backstage Academy near you, or arrange an appointment for an 'Open Day' visit, we would be delighted to hear from you at www.backstageireland@eircom.net  or on 091-590706.
