County Mayors Awards 2012
The Awards recognise and celebrate community and voluntary activity around County Galway. A call was made in September 2012 for nominations to be made for eleven award categories. Over 110 nominations were received in total before the deadline. An independent judging panel shortlisted the nominations. These shortlisted people and groups were invited to attend the Awards Ceremony on 8th November 2012 where the winners were announced. They were presented with a specially commissioned prestigious Mayors Award hand crafted by Loughrea Craft Producer Marcin Calka of Reborn Art Studios and a €500 cheque to use for their work.
