National Grant Scheme for Youth Cafes
A Youth Café is a safe dedicated quality meeting space for young people. It is determined by young people for young people in partnership with adults in the locality and can provide educational and recreational activities.
Galway County Development Board has been invited by the Office for Minister for Children and Youth Affairs (OMCYA) to facilitate applications for Youth Café Dormant Account Funding under two strands;
Funding is limited as follows;
Strand 1 offers up to a maximum of €10,000 capital funding for existing Youth Cafés (a total of €10,000 is available for the County of Galway)
Strand 2 offers up to a minimum of €50,000 with potential up to €100,000 for new Youth Café Proposals – 12 to 15 projects will be supported nationally
The application deadline for submission of completed applications to Galway County Development Board is Thursday June 3rd 2010 at 5.00pm
Applications are welcome ‘as Gaeilge’
