Social Inclusion Awareness Week 2011
Social Inclusion Awareness Week took place from 17th – 22nd October 2011. The purpose of the week was to promote awareness of social inclusion and diversity around County Galway. The week was launched by the Minister for Housing and Planning, Mr. Willie Penrose TD in Parkmore Community House, Tuam on Monday 17th October. The week was jointly launched with the official opening of Parkmore Community House and Allotments. Over 70 events took place during the week including hearing checks, photographic exhibitions, organic gardening workshops, digital photography workshops for older people and Latin American culture workshops.
