Galway Fire and Rescue Service
The Fire Service headquarters are located at Galway City Fire Station on Fr. Griffin Road. There are a total of 10 fire stations located in population centres around the County - Galway City Headquarters, which is a whole time / retained Fire Station, and all others are retained Fire Stations which are located in Athenry, Loughrea, Tuam, Ballinasloe, Mountbellew, Portumna, Gort, Clifden and Cill Rónáin.
The Fire Service responds to emergency calls in respect of fire, road, traffic and other accidents.
The emergency number is 999 or 112.
