Issuing of Trade Plates and Trailer Licences
Trade Plates
Registered motor dealers may apply for Trade Plates on Form RF700 on so that their garages may drive vehicles on the public road during working hours, subject to certain conditions.

Trailer Licences
These are issued to owners of articulated trucks to allow them to ferry trailers. Initial fee is €60 per trailer. This licence is separate to the road tax which is due in respect of the truck itself.
