Poverty:
The measure will help increase the potential for the development of local enterprise, particularly in small-scale agri-business, forestry, tourism, fishing and aquaculture. It will also facilitate their access to urban areas and also access from urban areas to the national road system. The overall impact should be to make Galway County a more attractive place to live in, work in or visit and, thus raise its level of development. That, in turn, will have a positive impact on poverty, both urban and rural.
