Financing of Roads
As a Roads Authority, Galway County Council funds the construction, improvement and maintenance of roads in the county through grants from the National Roads Authority. In addition supplementary funding is available from An Roinn Ealaíon, Oidreachta agus Gaeltachta for Regional and Local within the Gaeltacht, with further funding available under the CLÁR Programme.
