Traffic Management Plans
Traffic Management Plans are prepared with the aim of maximising the use of the current road networks. The process is as follows:
- Proposals for the scheme are drafted by the Council and a notice is published advising that the scheme will be on public display for one month and submissions will be received for a further two weeks from that date
- The proposals are also sent to the elected members, Gardai and relevant local bodies for comment within the above timescale
- The final scheme is drawn up to include changes arising from these consultations and it is placed before the members of the Council for their information
- A notice is published advising that the scheme will come into effect on a stated day and that copies of the scheme are available at stated locations for the information of the public.
