Roads Programme
The works carried out by the Council under its road maintenance programme include, pavement repairs, surface dressing, white lining, road signage, drainage works, grass and verge trimming along all routes. The programme of work in any year is determined by the finance available, ie. from the N.R.A. for national roads and from the Department of the Environment and local resources for non national roads.
The road maintenance programme is mainly carried out by the Council’s own work force.
