Sustainable Mobility / Smarter Travel
Galway County Council is committed to implementing policies and initiatives to support sustainable mobility and to increasing public awareness of the impact of certain mobility trends on the environment and the quality of life.
Galway County Council encourages the public to consider the appropriate balance to be achieved between competing streets users and forms of transport and the need to reduce individual private car use. The Council actively supports sustainable transport initiatives including walking, cycling and responsible car use.
