Role and function of Water Services Section
The objective of the Water Services Section of the Council is to provide quality water to the inhabitants of the county and provide and maintain the sewerage infrastructure in its towns and villages.The main functions of this section are as follows:
- The provision of major and small water and sewerage schemes
- The operation and maintenance of public water and sewerage schemes
(Carried out by the Area Offices) - The overall administration and approval of group water and sewerage schemes
- The provision of public conveniences
- Registration of Dairymen in accordance with Milk and Dairies Acts
