Status Orange - Wind warning for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo and Clare
Storm Callum: Southeast winds veering southwest will gust generally between 100 and 130km/h, higher in some coastal areas and on high ground. Along with a spell of heavy rain and high tides there is a risk of coastal flooding and damage.

Further update re #Storm Callum:
Flooding is expected on coastal routes in County Galway, due to forecasted high winds, with gusts of up to 130km/h and very high astronomical Spring tides. Drivers are advised to avoid all coastal routes and to make alternative route plans.
The Council is making sand bags available for collection by those whose properties are in vulnerable areas:
Kinvara – 250 filled sandbags have been distributed to the Square in Kinvara, a further number of filled sandbags will be delivered and left in the Square for use by those in properties which may be exposed to flooding. If any more sandbags are required please contact the Council office in Gort – 091 509065.
Oranmore – 5,000 filled sandbags are available in the Council depot in Tonroe, Clarinbridge. There is a further supply of sandbags and sand at this location.
Drivers are advised to only venture out if necessary, trees that may already be weakened by previous #Storm Ali are a potential hazard.
