Covid-19 Customer Service Update

Galway County Council wishes to advise that in accordance with the Government Roadmap and to facilitate essential business, which can only be transacted in person, public counters and in-person public services will re-open on an incremental and managed basis as and from Monday, 29th June 2020.

If you must visit our offices to conduct essential business in person, please do so by means of an appointment. To make an appointment please contact the relevant service area as follows:

Galway County Council wants to ensure the health and well-being of our customers and staff. To do this, we need your help.
• Please continue to conduct your business online (www.galway.ie), by phone, email or post where possible.
• Please arrange appointments in advance for essential business to avoid unnecessary delays due to compliance with physical distancing requirements and the limited capacity of our public foyers as waiting areas;
• Please comply fully with the queuing management system, advisory signage and any directions given by staff;
• Please limit interaction with staff and other customers to the absolute minimum and as far as is reasonably practicable, operate with one customer per appointment;
• Please avail of hand sanitisers on access/exit to/from our offices;
• Please observe strictly no hand shaking or any physical contact and maintain the 2 metres physical distancing at all times.

The cooperation of our customers with the arrangements required to allow for the re-opening of public counters and in-person public services on an incremental and carefully manged basis is appreciated. This co-operation will allow us to review and readjust service levels and arrangements to facilitate full-service levels in due course and in accordance with best practice and public health advice.
