M17 M18 Gort -Tuam Temporary Carriageway Closure

Notice is hereby given of the following planned temporary carriageway closures on the M17 M18 Gort-Tuam motorway. These closures are to facilitate daytime works from Monday the 18^th of January until Thursday the 21^st of January.

These works are weather dependent.

 Day 1 - Monday 18^th January 2021

(a)     M17 Junction 20 Kilmore (Tuam) - 09:30hrs to 15:30hrs.

Southbound Carriageway closed at the start of the motorway @ Kilmore (Tuam) Junction. Diverted traffic will be signposted back to Junction 19 Annagh Hill to re-join the M17 Southbound motorway.

This diversion route will be signposted and both Junctions will be manned.

 

Day 2 - Tuesday 19th January 2021

(b)     M17 Junction 20 Kilmore (Tuam) - 09:30hrs to 15:30hrs.

Southbound Carriageway closed at the start of the motorway @ Kilmore (Tuam) Junction and also Closing Junction 19 Annagh Hill. Traffic Diverted will travel through Baile Chláir on the N83 and onto Oranmore via the R381 following M6 to the M17 M18 Junction at Rathmorrisey.

Full diversion route will be signposted and both Junctions will be manned.

 

Day 3 - Wednesday 20^th January 2021

(c)     M18 Northbound - closing Junction 16 Gort - 09:30hrs to 15:30hrs.

Northbound Carriageway closed with traffic diverted via the old road via Ardrahan R458 and onto Junction 17 Kiltiernan where they can re-join the M18 Northbound carriageway.

Full Diversion Route signposted and the closed junction manned.

 

Day 4 - Thursday 21st January 2021

(d)     M18 Northbound - closing Junction 16 Gort and Junction 17 Kilternian - 09:30hrs to 15:30hrs.

Northbound Carriageway closed with traffic diverted via the old road via Ardrahan R458 and onto Junction 17 Kiltiernan with diverted traffic continuing via the N67 to Kilcolgan, Clairnbridge onto Oranmore / M6 to the M17 M18 Junction at Rathmorrisey.

Full Diversion Route signposted and the closed junction manned.
