Galway County Council’s Photography and Video Policy outlines its commitment to the responsible use of photography and video recording in compliance with Data Protection/GDPR requirements. This policy covers the use of cameras and recording devices by the Council for various purposes, which may involve capturing personal data, including recognisable images of individuals. The Council is dedicated to protecting such data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Photography and video recording will be conducted in a professional, ethical, and legal manner as per this policy and the law.
